About us

Heart Note Studio is a South African sole-proprietor business operated by Jacqueline de Souza. Contact: hello@heartnotestudio.co.za. By placing an order you agree to these terms, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Revisions & Delivery Policy and our Privacy Policy.

Our songs and how they are made

All products are personalised digital files. The level of human involvement depends on the package:

• Story Songs (Personalised, Premium, Ultimate): lyrics are written and refined by a real person from your story. Music and vocals are produced with AI-assisted music tools, then reviewed by a person.
• Manifestation Songs: lyrics are personally written from your answers; music is produced with AI-assisted tools. These are personal mindset and visualisation pieces, not professional, medical or financial advice, and no outcome is promised.
• Express Song: lyrics and music are generated with AI from your story and personally reviewed by a person before delivery.

Vocals are synthesised, not recorded by a named singer. Because AI-assisted production is involved, results vary and may resemble general musical styles.

Your information

You confirm the information and photos you provide are yours to share, are accurate, and do not infringe anyone's rights. We may decline or cancel (with a refund) any order that is unlawful, hateful, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars. Payment is processed by Paystack and charged in South African Rand at the exchange rate on the day; your bank may apply its own conversion or fees. Production times are estimates, not guarantees.

Your usage rights

Once paid, you and your gift recipient may use the song for personal, non-commercial purposes — listening, gifting, sharing with friends and family, playing at private events, and posting on personal social media.

Commercial use (for example advertising, resale, public broadcast, streaming-platform distribution or monetised content) requires our separate written permission. We do not transfer exclusive copyright, and your rights are subject to the terms of the third-party production tools used. Heart Note Studio may not use your song or story publicly without your permission.

Liability and governing law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or mandatory consumer laws where you live. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order. These terms are governed by South African law.
